The city is beginning to reopen and it is extremely important we all do our part to keep everyone safe and healthy. Your safety and comfort are important to us as we return to work. If you feel sick or have any syptoms of COVID-19 please do not enter the building.
Our 230 Fifth Avenue staff is taking extra sanitary precautions and safety measures for you. Please wear masks at all times in the building. We encourage everyone to practice social distancing and enhanced hygiene. Remember, hand washing and the use of hand sanitizer is necessary to stop the spread of germs.
Things are changing but we have a lot to look forward to. The Smith now offers “At Home Prepared Foods” along with various other
delivery options. The 230 Fifth Rooftop Restaurant is scheduled to reopen in Phase 2 for outdoor dining as well as take-out and delivery.
Tradeshow dates have changed, so please check monthly for updates. NY NOW is rescheduled for October 18 – 20. The HFPA has not released information yet regarding the September Home Textiles Market Week.
Please contact us with any questions or concerns. Welcome back!
230 Fifth Avenue has assembled a safety plan based on guidance from New York State, the CDC and information from experts in the field.
ALL employees, tenants, and visitors will be required to wear masks in common areas, including elevators.
We will be posting CDC-approved signage to serve as a tool to maintain appropriate social distance and to provide reminders about updated procedures.
Please prepay for all deliveries and minimize food deliveries to your office by aggregating orders. Consider placing daily orders for the entire office to minimize traffic in and out of the building during peak lunch hours.
Congregating in lobbies will be discouraged in order to minimize contact.
According to the CDC, HVAC systems can play a role in reducing exposure to COVID-19. Consider upgrading air filters to those with a MERV rating of at least 14.
Any vendor or delivery personnel are required to wear PPE and practice social distancing while in the building.
Frequently wash hands using soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap isn’t available. Cough or sneeze into a tissue or flexed elbow. Stay home if you are feeling ill.
We will continue to monitor the situation and follow any new guidelines as they become available.
